Terms of Service

Last updated: 30 July 2026 · MIND BLAZE UK LIMITED (company no. 17362263)

These terms are a contract between you and MIND BLAZE UK LIMITED ("MindBlaze", "we"), company number 17362263, registered in England and Wales, registered office: 12 Westmoreland Gardens, Peterborough, PE1 5HU. By creating an account or buying from us, you agree to them. We've written them to be readable; the plain-English summaries in boxes are for convenience and the full text governs.

1. What MindBlaze is (and honestly isn't)

MindBlaze provides: a gamified practice app for children preparing for the 11+ exam; a parent dashboard with progress tracking and AI-assisted reports; a free Learning Centre of lessons; and a Learning Library of downloadable practice papers.

Our honesty promise, in the terms where it belongs: MindBlaze is a practice and insight tool designed to work alongside tutors, books and schools — not to replace them. We make no guarantee that any child will pass the 11+ or gain a place at any school. Our standardised-style scores (SAS) are estimates derived from in-app performance to guide practice; they are not official test results and may differ from real exam outcomes. Anyone who guarantees you a grammar-school place is selling something we're not.

3. Subscriptions and free trial

4. Your cancellation and refund rights

Subscriptions

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have a 14-day cooling-off period after first purchasing a paid subscription. Because the trial is free and card-free, in practice you'll rarely need it — but if you do: cancel within 14 days of first payment and we'll refund it, less a proportionate charge for any period of service already used if you asked us to start straight away. After that, cancelling stops future renewals rather than refunding past ones. If we've got something badly wrong, email us — we'd rather refund a reasonable request than argue.

Learning Library (downloadable practice papers)

Library purchases are one-time purchases of digital content. At checkout you consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that the 14-day cooling-off right is lost once the download is delivered, as the Regulations allow for digital content. If a file is faulty, incomplete or not as described, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (repair, replacement, or refund for faulty digital content) are unaffected — email us and we'll fix it.

5. Learning Library licence

When you buy a Library product you get a personal, non-transferable licence to download, print and use the papers with children in your own household (or, for tutors, with your own tutees where your purchase is for tutoring use). You may not re-sell, redistribute, upload, or share the files or answer keys publicly. Re-download links are provided for your convenience via the email address used at purchase.

6. Fair and acceptable use

Don't: attempt to access other users' data; probe, overload or interfere with our systems; scrape or bulk-download content; reverse-engineer the service; use the service unlawfully; or share your account beyond your household. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, with refunds at our reasonable discretion depending on the breach.

7. Intellectual property

All content in MindBlaze — questions, lessons, papers, software, artwork, and the MindBlaze name and logo — belongs to us or our licensors. The free Learning Centre may be used for personal, non-commercial study; you may link to it freely (we're delighted when people do). Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of anything to anyone.

8. AI-generated content

Progress reports and coaching suggestions are generated with the assistance of AI, based on your child's actual practice data. They are informational guidance, not professional educational, psychological or medical advice. AI text can occasionally be imperfect; headline numbers shown in the apps come from our scoring system, and if a report ever seems inconsistent with the numbers, trust the numbers and tell us.

9. Availability and changes to the service

We aim for the service to be available at all times but don't guarantee uninterrupted access — maintenance, updates and events beyond our control happen. We continuously improve MindBlaze and may add, change or retire features; if we make a change that materially reduces what you're paying for, you can cancel and we'll refund the unused remainder of any prepaid period. If we ever discontinue the service entirely, we'll give paying subscribers at least 30 days' notice and pro-rata refunds of prepaid, unused periods.

10. Our liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights. Subject to that: we're not liable for losses that weren't foreseeable when you signed up, business losses (the service is for personal/household use, plus tutor use of the Library as licensed), or losses caused by events outside our reasonable control. Our total liability to you is limited to the amounts you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

11. Ending these terms

You can close your account at any time (see also our Privacy Policy for what happens to data). We can end or suspend accounts for material breach of these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (IP, liability, licence restrictions) survive termination.

12. General
